About Us

Welcome to Seeds of Greatness Early Learning Center. We are a Christian-based center located in the heart of New Castle, Delaware.

The Seeds of Greatness Early Learning Center was birthed from the vision of Pastor Jerome L. Lewis, Seeds Church. The mission of the learning center ‘Grooming our Kids for Greatness’ is an extension of the mission of Seeds Church – ‘Build Strong Christian Families and Develop Leaders’.  Our desire is to impact our families and that includes starting with the children! In May 2019, the vision became a reality and the Seeds of Greatness Early Learning Center was opened.

Netty has been in the Early Childhood Education field for over 10 years. She began her career at Hodgson Vocational Technical High School with a concentration of Early Childhood Education, allowing her to amass experience working with children ranging from infant to middle school age. Upon graduating from Hodgson, she completed the Training in Early Childhood Care Education certificate program (TECE 1 and 2) and went on to work at local childcare centers within the community. After high school, Netty went on to continue her education in Early Childhood Education, graduating from Wilmington University in 2016 with an Associate's degree in ECE (Birth-2nd grade). After receiving her degree, she began working in the public school system, teaching various elementary and middle school grade levels. Netty has been a valuable asset in developing the Early Learning Center in its beginning stages and is honored to be working full time with our staff as the Director. She is committed to our mission of grooming children for greatness and cultivating relationships with the children, families, and staff. Netty is excited to use the gifts and talents God has placed on the inside of her here at the ELC.‍

Prior to dedicating my professional and personal life to shaping young minds and hearts, I worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years.

I enjoy being involved at Seeds of Greatness Bible Church and serving on the Events Team. I love spending time with my husband, children, family and church family. I am a board member of New Castle County 7, Inc., a non-profit focused on improving the lives of foster children in Delaware. In my free time, I enjoy eating crabs and drinking Pepsi with my friends and family.

Mrs. Deborah Santos

Lead Teacher/Food Service Coordinator

For the past 15 years, I had the privilege to teach and develop Pre-school children. My specialty and calling is 3-year olds, although I have worked with children up to the age of 12. I have worked in both secular and Christian Learning Centers and Academies.

My Early Childcare Training was acquired through the Delaware Technical Community College Birth- 2-year-old program. I love and enjoy teaching and I believe in the holistic development (spiritual needs, physical needs, emotional skills, and social skills) of the child along with academic skills.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading and my favorite pass time is going to the beach and watching sunsets. I’m excited to be a part of the Seeds Early Learning Center and I look forward to sowing into the lives of our future. There is Greatness in our children.

Ms. Lori Matthews-Allison

Pre-school Teacher

I love helping and serving others and working at Seeds of Greatness Early Learning Center allows me to use my love for Christ Jesus to inspire and teach our most precious gifts from God--children. I have successfully completed the necessary classes needed to work as an Intern at the Center.

I am excited about this new chapter in my life. I am blessed to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and wisdom while learning new skills and while having fun with the children. Every day when I get up to go to work, I cannot help from thanking God for the opportunity to share His Love, Joy, Peace and Happiness.

I have enjoyed being in the childcare field for 25+ years. At the age of 14 I began working as a Jr. counselor for inner city youth at Camp Josiah, a Christian camp in New York. During my last 2 years of high school as a co-op student, I worked at the YMCA Childcare Center in the infant room. After graduating from Newark High School in 97’ I received my certification as a Childcare Assistant Teacher through the Professional Career Development Institute. Shortly after, I also attended Ashworth College where I received my Teachers certificate for Childcare.

For 5yrs I owned & operated a small family daycare in my home. There I was overjoyed to care for children ranging from 6wks to 5yrs of age. 105 children received daycare, night-care or drop-in care. I can’t believe I even fit in a part time job at the Children’s Place, I can’t get enough of little people! I later worked as a Nanny & Secretary for a local nanny agency helping coworkers match with families to find care for their children.

Years later as Administrative Assistant at a Childcare Center I assisted staff in completing all daily task.

Additionally, as an Army wife & mother of 2 wonderful children that now look at me in my eyeballs,

I am learning to get in where I fit in & do my best, all with the help of the Lord! My ultimate goal working with young children is to turn every not so good situation into a better one, while showing that I genuinely care.

At COTLW my church, I have been the Praise team leader for years & worked with the children’s youth ministry as a teacher & youth choir director.

Seeds has also been a Blessing to my family as well. We have enjoyed different events there geared towards children & couples. I love that we can grow here spiritually as a family and get built up so we can be all that God intended us to be.

It’s truly a gift to be able to pass on the love while teaching our little pumpkins here at SOGELC!

Faith Lane

Toddler Teacher

I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in New Castle, Delaware. I began working with children my freshman year of high school and spent much time volunteering with them during after-school events. I also studied child development in high school. I have experience working with children from kindergarten through middle school age.

My very first job was at a Christian summer camp, where coworkers and I would pray for and with children every day. It was there that I learned how important it was to teach children about God. Growing up in a Christian family, I was blessed to know, even at a young age, that Jesus loves me. Here, at Seeds of Greatness Early Learning Center, I hope to spread that love to the children.

Janay Holmes

I have been working with children for over 7 years! My education begins at St George’s Technical High School. While attending I studied in Early Education Care and developed the skills to manage a preschool classroom, plan and implement lesson plans, and how to create an inclusive environment for all learners. I graduated June 2016 with my diploma and my TECE 1 & 2 which certifies me to be an Early Education Teacher in the state of Delaware. After graduation I have worked in childcare centers throughout Delaware with all different ages ranging from infants to school age.

My love for education, however, begins in my bloodline. Since I was a little girl, I always enjoyed ‘teaching’ my stuffed animals and playing teacher with my grade school friends. My family has years of experience in the school environment; my grandfather dedicated his life to teaching inside and outside the classroom. His favorite saying, which I have adapted to be part of my teaching philosophy, was “You’ll grow and then you’ll go”. Here at SEEDS ELC I hope to help your children grow in Christ and in their education so they can achieve more.  In hopes that when they do go out into the world, they too can spread the love and joy of Christ as well as everything they learned here with us at SEEDS. I’m both thankful and honored to be a part of the SEEDS ELC family and cannot wait to see what the future holds!

Outside of work I enjoy creating content to spread knowledge about a rare blood disorder known as Sickle Cell Disease. I am a warrior of Sickle Cell Anemia type SS.  Although the effects of SCD are very severe many do not know they carry the trait until after the birth of their first child. Both of my parents did not know they were carriers until I was born with the full disease. My mission is to use my business to spread not only a good vibe but also awareness so that more people get tested and there are less cases like mine.

Kayla Jennings

Infant Teacher

I was born in Salisbury Maryland. I have been working in the childcare field for over 10 years. I currently have my TECE 1&2 and I am in pursuit of my Associates Degree in Early Education.

Working with children has always been something I wanted to do. I love seeing the children’s faces when they explore or finally understand a new concept.

When I’m not working, I love to listen to music, draw, and bake delicious treats for my family and friends.

I look forward to growing my experience here at Seeds ELC.

My name is Rasheeda A. Skinner. I was born in Philadelphia, raised in Harleysville, PA, and came to Delaware in 2004.  It was in Delaware where I finished my studies in various fields, yet my landing career became in education. I received my Associates in Media Art, Design, and Technology, Bachelors in Studio Production with a minor in Broadcast Journalism, and a Masters in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies, at Wilmington University.

When I graduated high school, I went into the Army Reserves where I served 7 years as a Human Resource Sergeant.  While in the Reserves, I worked full time for a telecommunications company.  I then went on to work for a radio station as a program director. I later decided to get into education as a Special Education paraprofessional. During that time, I realized that education is where my passion was.  Therefore, I went back to school and received my Masters in Education. I began working at Christ The Teacher Catholic School as a middle school English and Social Studies teacher. I went on hiatus after the birth of my 3 child.

I am currently a Teaching Assistant and in the process of receiving my TECE 1.  Starting in early childhood education has truly opened my eyes, in the educational development of children, in a different way. My professional goals are to continue in my education and never stop learning. Growing into the best educator I can be is of the utmost importance.  It's a blessing to serve at Seeds Early Learning Center, where developing the whole child is priority.

Since I was thirteen, I have enjoyed working with kids. I babysat and also volunteered at Church events to help with caring for people's children. A lot of my free time was spent caring for children. When Camp Seeds at Seeds of Greatness Bible Church opened up, I volunteered there until I was old enough to become an official camp counselor and I really enjoyed it. I am thankful for the opportunity to work at the early learning center as I continue to care for children and increase my knowledge and skills in the field.
